Editorial Issue 295 Print Email

Positive Health PH Online June 2024 Issue 295 is published 6 June. The world outlook is definitely not positive – an understatement – with major continuing conflicts afflicting key unstable hotspots around the world, including the Middle East – Israel-GazaUkraine-Russia war, without neglecting to mention tensions in North Korea and Africa – Sudan.

A snap UK General Election has been scheduled for 4 July, while the upcoming US elections – Biden versus Trump? – continues to provoke tensions, including the criminal proceedings against the former President.

Inspirational tales include those of MP Craig McKinley overcoming lightning and devastating sepsis resulting in the amputation of both his hands and feet yet being able to walk and function with prosthetic limbs. Rugby league legend Rob Burrow has also inspired many following his death aged 41 after suffering for five years from motor neurone disease (MND), and tirelessly campaigning to raise awareness and education.

The quality and intensely informative information within June 2024 Issue 295 help me to carry on diligently.

Here are a number of authoritative sites with a non-mainstream take on health news:

John Dee’s Almanac is now behind a Subscription PayWall on Substack

Alliance for Natural Health International – Healthy diet and lifestyle trumps genetics, improves longevity

Dr Joseph Mercola – How to Recognize a Seizure;

Professor Karol Sikora – NHS performance in both England and Wales is truly awful and absolutely nothing to brag about.

Just prior to publication, we received this email from Tigger MacGregor of NH massage Company Ltd. “It is with great sadness that we share the news that NH [No Hands Massage] Director & co-owner, Wendy Mills, died on 24 May. After a diagnosis of terminal cancer last Autumn, her illness forced Wendy to withdraw, slowly and gradually, from her involvement with the Company. Yet right until the very end, the importance of this Touch and getting it out to the world remained incredibly precious to her. Even before she came to NH, Wendy touched so, so many lives – both in her professional role as a nurse and through her own personal connections. This was a woman with a quiet strength, and an awesome ferocity of spirit to protect and serve. Thoroughly grounded and yet filled with such love, light and joy. To have had the opportunity to know her has been literally life changing for me – and I strongly suspect for many others, too. To say she'll be missed doesn't even come close: this is a heart-breaking time for all of us on so many levels.”
