I say this every issue that there are a selection of
superb and thought-provoking editorial features which are highly
original and informative. However it is true for Feb Issue 203 and you
should require no further prompting to immerse yourself in these pearls
of wisdom:
The Fear Process - Beyond the Initials PTSD by Ann Fillmore digs down into the basics of so many of our behaviours and then provides some start-up remedies to recovery:
“I must not fear. Fear is the
mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I
will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And
when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where
the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

In Living the Life you Dream Part II, Gina Pickersgill continues her inspiring tale of how to redesign your life.
“Learning to love yourself is no easy task when you have
been listening to voices telling you that you are no good. If you have
been the 'victim' of such a tirade of insults either from yourself or
others then you will know what it means to feel less than worthless.
Yes, it's a feeling. A feeling that makes you behave in ways that
undermine your self-worth. That notion is the single most important
factor that enables a person to be free of its tyranny.
“In the previous article, I wrote about my journey to
freedom and the emotional roller-coaster and scary feelings that it took
to get there. Joe Dispenza encapsulates my experience by noting that "when
we fully lay down the old, familiar life or mind and start creating the
new, there is a moment between the two worlds that is bereft of
anything we know, and most rush back from this void to the familiar.
That place of uncertainty - the unknown - is what the maverick, the
mystic, and the saint know to be fertile ground". This article will
explain the way in which you can recognize this feeling and how you can
use it make a loop-hole from which to design a new future.

In Can I be Hypnotized?, Sally Stubbs relates
with a powerful Case Study how events and significant people in our
childhood can create long-lasting and powerful effects which last a
lifetime.
“An important adult in our
childhood impacts our unconscious with: You are beautiful. Their
behaviour is consistent: they look at us with adoring looks, they cuddle
and cherish us, they speak the words, “….you are beautiful”. And so we
grow in life with a certainty and confidence in our inner beauty.
“The same important adult in
our childhood impacts our unconscious with: You must be quiet (or you
will be in big trouble). You must not speak up (or you will be in big
trouble). You must not say NO! to staying over at grandmas, you must not
say NO! to eating disgusting sprouts (or there will be big trouble).
“And so part of our persona
that wants and needs to speak and needs to say NO! withdraws deep into
the unconscious mind in a state of fear; we have to acquiesce because we
rely on this important adult for our physical survival. We withdraw;
and as we progress through life, part of our persona remains ‘withdrawn’
unable to speak up, unable to say NO!, because the fear remains
impacting our unconscious, a ‘marker’ throughout our life."
She illustrates the power of such events through the words of Annie, who describes how she feels.
“By the time Annie knocked at
my door asking for my help, she was suffering not only chronic lack of
sleep, attacks of vertigo, debilitating tinnitus, coeliac disease and
anaemia; the poor girl also had cancer. I so respect Annie and her
efforts in her life.
“I always carry it around with me.
"It’s like a big heavy coat with a big heavy hood - it weighs me down - it makes me stoop. It exhausts me.
"The hood covers the whole of my head; I can barely see.
"The coat is black and heavy, heavy.
"It does have a bright red
light shiny lining - like satin. But the black heavy coat and hood
completely encase me and no one can see my bright light shininess.
"No one can see me; I’m like a
stooped broken figure. The heaviness of it has built up over all the
years; it has got heavier and heavier. I can never rest; even when I lie
down the heaviness is so tiring, always so uncomfortable and
exhausting. It makes me too tired to sleep. The weight of it is dragging
me down and down it is crushing me."
